Residual value assessment & Technical advice on the Charter Party agreement

Client: Multinational bank

The client was planning to finance a newbuild Chemical tanker of size 13,000 dwt. Drewry was commissioned to assess the residual value and advise on the technical aspects of the charter party agreement. Drewry drew on historical secondhand values of similar vessels to arrive at the residual values. Drewry reviewed the charter party agreement and commented on delivery conditions, dry docking, special survey, classification clause, change in regulations, damage and total loss of the vessel.
