Weekly analysis of container capacity and cancelled sailings

With carriers constantly adjusting their schedules to meet demand, access to a regularly updated picture of service availability is more important than ever. We closely analyse the various service and schedule data feeds to understand current container capacity and anticipated market development - by alliance across the main trades, and to provide historical context, year-on-year comparisons are included in the weekly analysis.

Demonstration of Container Capacity Insight via Container Freight Portal

 

In addition to the above interactive online service subscribers receive weekly PDF Insight reports providing a summary assessment and commentary against each key trade lane. Other key areas of weekly PDF report updates include:

’Ease of capacity access’ indicators

To provide a snapshot assessment of each main trade lane, weekly report updates include a traffic-light indicator of available capacity. Various inputs go into this indicator, including cancellation numbers and spot rate development on that trade.
