Latifat has been supporting Drewry in various research and business development activities since 2015, with a critical role in numerical model development.

Prior to working with Drewry, Latifat held a unique global role at Lloyd’s Register (LR) as lead Senior Marine Market Analyst for six years. Supported by a team of business analysts, she provided the Lloyd’s Register Marine business with market insight covering shipping and shipbuilding developments, in support of strategic business planning activities. She was chiefly responsible for bespoke commercial market studies, providing insight into new developments and opportunities within various ship type segments, including LNG, containerships and dry bulk sectors. These commercial assessments led to stronger market positioning, higher thought leadership profile and accelerated revenue growth for LR.

Latifat’s career started in the container shipping market as Research Analyst at Containerisation International, sister title to Informa’s Lloyds List, where she worked for over 8 years. She graduated with first class BA Hons, Business Studies at University of Sussex, UK.
