Drewry Container Equity Index was up 6.2% WoW (vs. S&P 500 up 1.3%) for the week ending 7 June, outpacing all other Drewry sectoral equity indices. The container index rose as spot rates spiked. Among others, the LNG Shipping Equity Index grew 4.5%, Ports increased 4.3%, while the Crude Tanker, Product Tanker, and LPG shipping index declined.
